A Little About Me and Why I'm Riding Every Day for a Year


           As a creative, I get very excited about starting new things. I love coming up with ideas and bringing them to life. However, I'm easily distracted by other new things and don't always follow through when I should. Personal fitness is something I talk about often. I can remember back as far as High School when I wanted to work out to make my body look a certain way. I've gone on many personal fitness journeys only to fizzle out before I could really see the results I was aiming for. Knowing this about myself I knew I had to do something drastic to finally achieve a fitness goal where I can see my body change into what I've always wanted it to be. That's how I came about this lofty New Year's resolution to ride my Peloton at least 15 minutes a day every day for a year.

           Now, having pursued fitness goals multiple times I know that this alone will not get me to where I want to be. I understand the biggest battle is diet and nutrition. However, setting this goal and challenging myself with this daily task is a way to keep me on track. It's very easy for me to make an excuse literally every day to avoid working out. This will prevent me from doing that. It doesn't matter if I'm tired, have low energy, have work, have class, or any of the other things that manage to prevent you from taking care of yourself. I'm going to ride my Peloton. I am going to do more on some days and the minimum on others. The new minimum of 15 mins is much better than my previous minimum which was nothing at all. 

             Around five or six days into riding I had realized I was finally doing something routinely that I could use for content creation. This is another thing I've been wanting to do for a while. I've had other creative ventures with Music, Music Videos, Performing Concerts, Putting out multiple albums, and things of that nature but I haven't been able to be consistent enough to do what I'd like to do on a site like youtube or TikTok. Tying into my fitness challenge I decided to make a Tiktok a day to go with my Peloton rides. The response has been great so far and all the new followers have made sticking with my goals that much more exciting. I'm looking forward to achieving this fitness goal while creating enjoyable content to share with all of you.
